Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of JITR. By using the platform, you agree to follow them.

About JITR

JITR is a platform and marketplace that facilitates short-term shift coverage by connecting businesses with workers.

JITR operates as a commercial intermediary, coordinating shift bookings, invoicing, and payments.

JITR is not a staffing agency and does not employ workers.

Eligibility

To use JITR, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and use of the platform

Accounts

Users may maintain only one account per person.

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

JITR reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

Intermediary role and responsibilities

JITR operates as a commercial intermediary between businesses and workers.

Businesses contract with JITR for the provision of services related to short-term shift coverage. Workers provide services to JITR on a per-shift basis as independent contractors.

Workers are not employees of JITR. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, or agency between JITR and any worker.

Businesses are responsible for:

  • Defining shift requirements and job descriptions
  • Providing safe and lawful working conditions
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations at the workplace

Workers are responsible for:

  • Attending accepted shifts as agreed
  • Performing work in a professional manner consistent with the shift description
  • Maintaining any registrations, licenses, or documentation required to operate as an independent contractor
  • Declaring and paying all applicable taxes, fees, and social contributions related to compensation received through JITR

Payments and fees

JITR facilitates billing and payments on the platform.

JITR guarantees payment to workers for completed shifts in accordance with the platform’s terms, provided the shift was performed as agreed and in compliance with these Terms.

Fees, pricing, and payment structures may change from time to time. Any changes will apply prospectively.

Availability and no guarantees

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. JITR does not guarantee that:

  • Businesses will find suitable workers
  • Workers will receive a specific number of shifts
  • Shifts will be filled within any particular timeframe

Acceptable use

Users may not:

  • Misuse or interfere with the platform
  • Provide false, misleading, or incomplete information
  • Engage in illegal activity through the platform
  • Attempt to bypass or circumvent JITR’s systems, processes, or payment flows

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JITR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform.

JITR’s total liability shall be limited as permitted under applicable law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iceland.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Iceland.

Changes to these Terms

JITR may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
